About the Role

Our client, a premier provider of outdoor adventure experiences, is seeking an experienced and charismatic Remote Outdoor Adventure Guide Lead to oversee and coordinate their team of guides and excursions. While the role is remote, it requires a hands‑on approach to managing guide schedules, ensuring safety protocols are met, and coordinating logistics for a variety of outdoor activities, including hiking, kayaking, and rock climbing. You will be instrumental in maintaining the high standards of our client's services and ensuring memorable experiences for their clientele across various natural settings. This position is fully remote, offering flexibility while demanding strong organizational and leadership skills to manage operations effectively from afar. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in outdoor guiding and a passion for nature conservation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of outdoor adventure guides, providing training and ongoing support.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive safety protocols and emergency procedures for all activities.
• Coordinate logistics for daily excursions, including equipment, transportation, and guide assignments.
• Ensure all guides are properly certified and adhere to company standards and legal requirements.
• Manage guide schedules and assignments to ensure optimal coverage and service delivery.
• Act as a primary point of contact for guides regarding operational issues and client concerns.
• Conduct regular reviews of guide performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Assist in the development of new adventure programs and route planning.
• Maintain inventory and condition of all outdoor equipment.
• Contribute to marketing efforts by providing insights into popular activities and customer feedback.

Requirements

• Extensive experience as an outdoor adventure guide, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Wilderness First Responder (WFR) or equivalent certification.
• Expertise in multiple outdoor activities such as hiking, kayaking, rock climbing, or mountaineering.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent organizational and logistical planning abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and guide remote teams.
• Proficiency in using remote work tools and communication platforms.
• Knowledge of risk management and safety procedures in outdoor environments.
• Passion for the outdoors and a commitment to environmental stewardship.
