Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team of software engineers in the design, development, testing, and deployment of flight operations software, including flight planning, dispatch, and monitoring tools.
• Define and architect the technical roadmap and system architecture for flight operations software solutions.
• Establish and enforce coding standards, best practices, and quality assurance processes for the engineering team.
• Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into effective software solutions.
• Mentor and guide junior and senior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
• Oversee the development lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality, scalable, and reliable software.
• Identify and evaluate new technologies and methodologies to enhance the capabilities of flight operations systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex software defects and performance issues.
• Contribute to technical documentation, including design specifications, API documentation, and user guides.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 8 years of professional software development experience, with at least 3 years in a technical leadership or lead engineer role.
• Extensive experience in designing and developing complex, scalable software systems, preferably in the aviation or logistics domain.
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C++) and modern software development frameworks.
• Strong understanding of software architecture patterns, microservices, cloud-native development (AWS, Azure, GCP), and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with agile development methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor engineering teams effectively in a remote setting.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and architectural design skills.
• Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
