Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Flight Operations Coordinators to ensure optimal performance.
• Oversee the planning, scheduling, and coordination of all flight activities, ensuring efficiency and compliance.
• Monitor flight progress, proactively addressing any disruptions or deviations from the schedule.
• Manage crew scheduling, duty time limitations, and rest requirements in accordance with regulations.
• Liaise with pilots, dispatchers, maintenance, and other departments to facilitate smooth flight operations.
• Ensure adherence to all aviation regulations, company policies, and operational procedures.
• Develop and implement operational efficiency improvements and best practices.
• Handle flight permits, clearances, and other necessary documentation.
• Act as a primary point of contact for critical operational issues, providing timely solutions.
• Maintain accurate flight logs and operational records.

Requirements

• Extensive experience (7+ years) in flight operations coordination or management within the aviation industry.
• Demonstrated leadership experience, managing operational teams.
• Comprehensive knowledge of flight planning, dispatch, crew scheduling, and regulatory requirements (SACAA, EASA, FAA).
• Experience with flight operations software and systems ("e.g., Jeppesen, SkyPlan, Navblue").
• Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, especially under pressure.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work autonomously in a remote environment and manage a distributed team effectively.
• Relevant aviation qualifications or a degree in a related field.
