Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and analysis of electrical distribution systems, including overhead and underground networks.
• Develop long-term system expansion and reinforcement plans.
• Conduct load flow, fault studies, and protection coordination analyses for distribution networks.
• Specify and select distribution equipment such as transformers, switchgear, and conductors.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to a remote team of electrical engineers.
• Collaborate remotely with planning, operations, and construction departments.
• Develop technical specifications for equipment procurement and construction contracts.
• Stay abreast of new technologies and best practices in electrical distribution engineering.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Power Systems or Distribution.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in electrical distribution engineering.
• Extensive experience with distribution system analysis software (e.g., CYME, ETAP, PowerFactory).
• Strong understanding of protection principles and coordination for distribution systems.
• Proven ability to lead remote teams and manage projects effectively.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage workload efficiently in a remote environment.
• Professional Engineer (PE) or Pr. Eng registration is mandatory.
• Experience with SCADA systems and smart grid technologies is a plus.
